Kickoff Meeting

The kickoff meeting was held on February 16th, 2024 at University of Évora, PT. It started with the PO presentation on MSCA projects and the Staff Exchange rules, followed by the presentation of the consortium. It then included sessions on the HarmonicAI Scientific Roadmap and the different work packages.

Summer School on Trustworthy AI for Digital Health

The Summer School on Trustworthy AI for Digital Health will be held at University of Reading, UK, on July 9th and 10th. It will include talks from invited experts, partners and early career researchers, discussions about the use cases and sessions for brainstorming and networking.
The Summer School aims to expose participants to the state-of-the-art research in the trustworthy AI adoption in the domain of digital health. We welcome participation from early career as well as established researchers in academia and industry.
The summer school is free to attend. We will have a hybrid event accommodating both in-person and online participants. Please register here.

Workshop in Trustworthy AI for Physiotherapy Rehabilitation (UK)
Date: January 24th, 2025
Location: University of Leeds, United Kingdom
The UK workshop was held at University of Leeds on January 24th, 2025. Invited speakers, project partners and prospective collaborators shared successful experience in using AI in digital health and discussed the concerns regarding the explainability, fairness, privacy and regulations.
The workshop included a talk titled "Application of Machine Learning in Rehabilitation Medicine" by Prof. Rory J O'Connor, Charterhouse Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine and Head of the Academic Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Leeds.
A second talk by Prof. Huiyu Zhou from University of Leicester, titled "When Parkinson's disease meets Artificial Intelligence", reported on challenges with immersive challenges and social behaviour analysis using new video analytics technologies developed within the team.
The talk entitled "Scalable and Explainable Learning for Alzheimer's Disease Diagnosis with Structural MRI", given by Prof. Liangxiu Han, from University of Metropolitan Manchester, introduced her recent research work in designing and developing scalable AI solutions for efficient analysis and processing of diverse data types and enhancing explainability of AI solutions for Alzheimer's disease.
The workshop was held in hybrid mode with around 30 attendees in person and online.





Workshop in Trustworthy AI for Hospital Resources Management (France)
Date: July 5th, 2024
Location: France
The workshop in France was held on July 5th, 2024. It aimed at facilitating experience sharing among healthcare professionals, IT practitioners, and academic researchers in hospital resource management.
One of the sessions of the workshop focused on Hospital bed management with presentations from Paul Blanchard (AMC) and Vincent Lequertier (INSA Lyon). Eric Muller (AMC) presented AMC views on Stakeholder requirement specification for AI explainability and Peter Robbins (DCU), Zahra Azizi (DCU) and Pr. Nejib Moalla (ULL) discussed Use case design and preliminary work.
Additionally, participants were introduced to qualitative interviewing, grounded theory methodology and powerful tools to uncover rich insights in complex, multifaceted domains.

Workshop in Trustworthy AI for Elderly Mobility Disorder Prevention (Thailand)
Date: July 26, 2024
Location: Lamphun Hospital, Thailand
The workshop in Thailand was held at Lamphun Hospital on July 26, 2024. It brought together a total of 59 participants, including Village Health Volunteers (VHVs), local hospital staff, and project personnel from Chiang Mai University.
It was designed to enhance the capabilities of Village Health Volunteers (VHVs) in utilizing digital tools to support healthcare delivery in rural communities and included a session on knowledge development digital transformation in healthcare, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in clinical settings and a following one where participants applied these concepts on the use case setting. Participants rotated through five exercise stations where they engaged in physical mobility assessments, used GymBot equipment, and experienced real-time health monitoring with wearable devices.
These sessions were led by experienced professionals, including Dr. Phokin Sakrinkul, Associate Professor Dr. Wachiranan Sirikul, Mr. Narudon Donban, and Dr. Suepphong Chernbumroong.




A field visit was also conducted in Northern Thailand to 10 community primary care units to refine the system's needs for effectively supporting elderly exercise programs, enhancing monitoring capabilities, and improving engagement through AI-driven recommendations and gamification.




Symposium on AI Summit: Shaping the Future of Care

On June 21, 2025, at AI Summit: Shaping the Future of Care, Thailand's HarmonicAI team facilitated a symposium that encouraged in-depth discussion and networking among participants by engaging with attendees to promote cross-sector knowledge exchange and collaborative thinking.


Session on Longevity Society Seminar 1st

The Grow Longevity Ecovillage organized a seminar at Bamboo Garden, Bangkok, Thailand on June 26, 2025 where Asst. Prof. Dr. Pradorn Sureephong presented a session on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Immersive Technology for longevity illustrating how AI-driven solutions can be applied to personalized health monitoring and preventive care.
